Contributor Guidelines

All contributions undergo rigorous peer-review by the members of our core group. Members of our affiliate network are consulted to aid editorial review purposes on as needed basis. If your contribution is accepted, you should expect to hear back from us within 5-7 days, with requests for any revisions required prior to its publication on the AI Policy Exchange platform.

AI Policy Exchange reserves the right to accept or reject a contribution.

Scope and Format

We accept insightful contributions from technology and policy professionals and experts in the form of 800-1500 word-long commentaries and 5-10 minute-long lightning talks.

These contributions cover (a) explainers and issue-based analyses of dominant and emergent AI governance models, tools, instruments, and frameworks, and (b) novel perspectives on AI governance issues and technical and policy recommendations for public and private adoption of responsible AI.

Contributions should be sent for review at editor@aipolicyexchange.org.

Guidelines

Your contribution must be your original and unpublished work.

If your contribution is the form of a commentary, please note that (a) it should ideally range between 800 to 1500 words, (b) you should hyperlink references within the body of your commentary to support your claims; for offline references, we expect you to provide endnotes, (c) we allow co-authorship.

If it is in the form of a lightning talk, please note that (a) it should ideally range in the duration of 5-10 minutes, (b) we will not accept contributions with poor audio and video quality; we recommend using the meeting recording feature on Microsoft Teams or Google Meet to record your lightning talk in high quality, (c) you should send the recording to us as a Google Drive link.

Please understand that AI Policy Exchange caters to a wide base of audience, and therefore, we urge you to keep the content of your contribution as jargon-free as possible.

Lastly, please don’t forget to include a short bio about yourself in your submission mail. We would use it to introduce you to our audiences when your contribution goes live on AI Policy Exchange.

You as a contributor also acknowledge and agree that in the event of infringement by you of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity, you shall hold AI Policy Exchange harmless and indemnify AI Policy Exchange for any loss sustained by it by reason of such infringement.
